If you have been vaping for a while, you might find yourself considering just how much money you spend every week on juice. You may even make your own creations from different makers and flavors, or you may have even thought that you could make some awesome juice all on your own and save a pile of money. There is good news if any of these thoughts have ever crossed your mind; you can make your own E juice easily and economically with the right equipment and the right ingredients to make a quality product. There are even recipe sites to help you get started.
Ingredients:
Propylene glycol: This is a federally approved chemical ingredient for ingestion and topical uses in foods, cosmetics and personal care items, and medicines. It is the most popular-based liquid for DIYers, but some people can be allergic to it.
Vegetable glycerin: Instead of being derived from petrochemicals, this is derived from vegetables. It’s thicker, and unlike propylene glycol it’s slightly sweet, and thus can alter the taste of your flavors.
Nicotine: This can be found either in a PG or VG base. The general rule of thumb is that the nicotine equivalent to cigarettes is 8mg for ultralight, 11mg for light, 16mg for regular (think Marlboro Gold), 24mg for strong (think Marlboro Red), and 36mg for unfiltered (like Pall Mall).
You should also purchase safety goggles or a face shield, heavy gloves, and a rubber apron. Nicotine can cause a rash, or can even poison you if you absorb enough through your skin.
